Happy New Year everyone!

The A team played their first game of the year on the 11th January against Jesmond. Unfortunately we succumbed to a 3.5 - 0.5 defeat with David Henderson picking up our lone half point.

We are finding Division 1 very tough but we will keep battling on! Tonight we have another tough match at Leam Lane!

I lost to Chris Izod who played this lovely combination against me! 1 ... Nf2 2 Kf2 Re3 3 Qf1 Re2 ch 3 Kg1 Qe3 ch winning back the knight with two pawns already pocketed! Well played Chris!
